GA Pre-K Programs

Age and Residency Requirements: Your child must be 4 years of age by Sept. 1st of the upcoming school year and must reside in the state of Georgia. *Please see below for important information regarding required documentation.

GA Pre-K Enrollment Policy: At Old Peachtree Academy, we initially open spots in our GA Pre-K Program to our currently enrolled students. We then offer any remaining spots to qualified candidates applying through this portal using a random lottery style drawing. This process is carried out on an ongoing basis during the months leading up to the start of the upcoming school year.  

GA Pre-K Required Documentation: Please make sure that you have the following documents ready or are in the process of obtaining these for your child. *Age and Residency Verification Documents must be provided before your child can start the program.

  • Age Verification: such as a birth certificate, passport, certificate of live birth

  • Proof of Residency: such as a utility bill, lease/mortgage, property tax notice, homeowner’s insurance (a cell phone bill or a driver’s license is not acceptable)

  • Child’s Social Security Card

  • Immunization Form 3231 (due within 30 days of program start)

  • Vision, Hearing, Dental and Nutrition Form 3300 (due within 90 days of program start)

  • GA Pre-K Registration Packet & Roster Form (to be provided by Old Peachtree Academy)

Program Overview:  The GA Pre-K program is a state funded program that is designed to help your child meet kindergarten readiness requirements. The program runs for 6.5 hours per day, for a total of 180 instructional days and follows the Gwinnett County Public School Calendar. There are no fees for this program other than the monthly lunch fees of $108/month which are paid in advance using our automated Tuition Express system. There are no lunch fees for students receiving: Food Stamps, SSI, Medicaid, CAPS or TANF (proof of benefits is required)


Students are randomly assigned to one of the following three classes: Class A: 8:30am - 3:00pm, Class B: 8:40am - 3:10pm, Class C: 8:50am - 3:20pm. *Please note that we are unable to accommodate specific classroom or teacher requests. If you need extended care for your child (outside of the class times listed above), we have an outstanding Before and Afterschool program which provides fun and engaging enrichment activities to extend your child’s learning. We also offer priority placement for siblings in our accredited Private Preschool Program (Infants to Schoolage), at discounted rates. Both part-time and full-time available.
