Our Curriculum & Learning Methodology is at the heart of our programs tailored especially for Toddlers & Preschoolers. Our learning program consists of a comprehensive curricular foundation based on High Reach Learning and is enhanced by our very own Young Scholars Enrichment Program™. Our curriculum is theme based and weaves key learning objectives within the core curriculum content areas. Our proprietary enrichment program expands children’s learning beyond what is covered in a basic curriculum as it is designed to expose your child to a diverse range of innovative learning experiences during your child’s critical brain development periods. It immerses children in higher tier learning opportunities, providing an introduction to some of the masters of literature, art, music and innovation, as well as other enhancement areas, such as character concepts, leadership development, global diversity, eco-awareness and community projects. It also includes a foreign language lab, inventor’s workshop, technology hub and young thespian’s theatre. Even our youngest learners are included in this program through our Baby Sign and Baby Yoga enrichment opportunities.
Our teaching methodology incorporates active, experiential, hands-on learning opportunities for children to develop cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills, as this is how children learn best! Learning experiences are designed to be stimulating, challenging and meaningful and include a balance between child initiated and teacher directed activities. The core instructional part of the day includes both small and large group activities, as well as a blend of open-ended and structured learning opportunities. We follow the High Scope approach to learning by implementing a Plan-Do-Review cycle which promotes the development of 58 key experiences within 10 critical learning areas. Teachers’ adapt the curriculum to meet the individual learning needs of each unique child based on developmental assessments performed by both teachers and parents. This data is then used to individualize the program in order to provide any necessary reinforcement or accelerated content. Teachers and parents collaboratively establish specific learning objectives for their child and track progress through Daily Report Cards and periodic conferences.
